In many cases the\u00a0consignee\u00a0is the same party as the ultimate consignee.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A U.S. business will need to act as the\u00a0ultimate consignee for a foreign importer.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you&#8217;re\u00a0shipping to Amazon U.S.\u00a0as a foreign importer (importing without a\u00a0U.S. entity\u00a0or presence), Amazon can act as the ultimate consignee. Use the Amazon fulfillment center you have been assigned as the business address.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Example:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Amazon.com.dedc\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>[My Business, Inc] c\/o Amazon\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>500 McCarty<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Lewisberry, PA 17339<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Identifying the ultimate consignee is mandatory in the\u00a0Automated Export System (AES). Four types of ultimate consignees are described in the AES:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Direct Consumer.\u00a0A non-government entity that will consume or use the exported good without reselling or redistributing.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Government Entity.\u00a0A government owned or government controlled entity.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Reseller.\u00a0A non-government entity that acts as a reseller, retailer, wholesaler, distributor, distribution center, or trading company.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Other\/Unknown.\u00a0An entity that is not a direct consumer, government entity, or reseller.
