{"id":3788,"date":"2022-12-01T16:16:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T16:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shaoke.com\/?post_type=glossary&#038;p=3788"},"modified":"2022-12-01T16:16:24","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T16:16:24","slug":"pga-partner-government-agency","status":"publish","type":"glossary","link":"https:\/\/shaoke.com\/zh\/glossary\/pga-partner-government-agency\/","title":{"rendered":"PGA (Partner Government Agency)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A PGA is a division of the U.S. government that regulates certain products and oversees their entry into the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is a PGA?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A PGA (Partner Government Agency) is a government agency that works alongside the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that regulate commodities entering the U.S.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some PGAs include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aphis.usda.gov\/aphis\/ourfocus\/importexport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fda.gov\/ForIndustry\/ImportProgram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Drug Administration (FDA)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/importing-exporting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atf.gov\/qa-category\/imports-exports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Products that are regulated by PGAs often require permits or other additional documentation, so many PGAs have their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/trade\/basic-import-export\/e-commerce\/partner-government-agencies-import-guides\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">own import guides<\/a>.
