{"id":3752,"date":"2022-12-01T15:51:28","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T15:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shaoke.com\/?post_type=glossary&#038;p=3752"},"modified":"2022-12-13T15:14:55","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T15:14:55","slug":"general-order","status":"publish","type":"glossary","link":"https:\/\/shaoke.com\/zh\/glossary\/general-order\/","title":{"rendered":"General Order"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>General Order is a status given to cargo that is being held up at Customs due to improper documentation or other issues with clearing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is General Order?\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>General Order (GO) is a status given to cargo imported into the U.S. that is missing proper Customs documentation or does not quickly clear Customs.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If they remain uncleared after 15 days, goods under GO will be moved to a General Order warehouse (a type of\u00a0bonded warehouse.) Transportation and storage costs are the responsibility of the importer. Note that storage charges in a GO warehouse are costly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If the goods remain under General Order for more than six months, they will be put up for auction or confiscated.
