A CFS will charge a fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is a CFS?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A CFS (container freight station) is a warehouse that specializes in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flexport.com\/glossary\/consolidation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">consolidation<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flexport.com\/glossary\/deconsolidation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deconsolidation<\/a>&nbsp;of cargo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flexport.com\/glossary\/less-than-container-load\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LCL (less than container load)<\/a>\u00a0shipment will be taken to a CFS at origin to be consolidated into a container with other cargo.
